Call her what you want to.

My love for an ex country singer has been growing stronger for the past months. Ever since she announced her sixth album, my days have been revolving around this entire concept of her new album and the fact she has been releasing song after song, video after video, has made my days brighter.

My top 13 T Swift lyrics.

As I hope every one knows, I’m a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I’ve always been enamoured with her lyrics, because somehow they always find their way to fit into my life. Here are my top 13 favorite lyrics.

  1. Well, maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much, but maybe this thing was a masterpiece ’til you tore it all up. Running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well.
  2. Remember when you hit the brakes too soon? Twenty stitches in the hospital room. When you started cryin’, baby, I did, too, but when the sun came up, I was lookin’ at you. Remember when we couldn’t take the heat, I walked out and said, “I’m settin’ you free,” but the monsters turned out to be just trees and when the sun came up, you were lookin’ at me.
  3. When you’re young you just run, but you come back to what you need.
  4. You come around and the armour falls, pierce the room like a cannonball, now all we know is don’t let go. We are alone, just you and me, up in your room and our slates are clean. Just twin fire signs, four blue eyes.
  5. I guess it’s true that love was all you wanted cause you’re giving it away like it’s extra change, hoping it will end up in his pocket but he leaves you out like a penny in the rain, cause it’s not his price to pay.
  6. You put up walls and paint them all a shade of gray, and I stood there loving you and wished them all away and you come away with a great little story of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you.
  7. And I hope the sun shines. And it’s a beautiful day. And something reminds you, you wish you had stayed. You can plan for a change in weather and time, but I never planned on you changing your mind.
  8. And you throw your head back laughing like a little kid. I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny ’cause he never did. I’ve been spending the last eight months, thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end.
  9. New York… be here. But you’re in London and I break down, cause it’s not fair that you’re not around.
  10. Please don’t be in love with someone else. Please don’t have somebody waiting on you.
  11. I reached for you but you were gone. I knew I had to go back home. You searched the world for something else to make you feel like what we had and in the end in wonderland we both went mad.
  12. You said, “I remember how we felt sitting by the water. And every time I look at you, it’s like the first time. I fell in love with a careless man’s careful daughter. She is the best thing that’s ever been mine.”
  13. But I took your matches before fire could catch me so don’t look now. I’m shining like fireworks over your sad empty town.

One year of 1989.

October 27, 2014 was the day Taylor Swift’s first pop album was released and let me tell you, I was terrified. As a fan that started this whole fangirl life when she was starting her music career as a country artist, I can say her transition to pop music was a scary thing to my fangirl persona.
